Interesting art, endearing theme. |
When we first arrived in Anchorage, we went to The Motorcycle Shop, a multiple brand dealer who sells and services BMW and others.

During the winter, Phil Freeman, owner and operator of MotoQuest gave a talk at Country Rode BMW in Rochester. We stopped to see him but he was in Europe guiding a tour. His staff was delightful and they put on a fresh pot of coffee for us. Nice folks who rent bikes, set up tours, and do some service work. Then it was off to our B&B, the oldest in Anchorage and very near the city center. They loaned us bikes for Sunday and we rode along the coastal bike path and all over town. Anchorage is pretty flat so this proved to be a good way to see the sights.

McKinley is back there somewhere |
For a couple of hours, we toured the Anchorage Museum of Alaska art, native artifacts, and history. The color and vibrancy represented here was especially notable.
|
Robin loved the Magpies. Why aren't they in NY? |
The Alaska art seems really good at representing the color and movement associated with sea life.

Humpys serves great beer and food and they have world famous T-Shirts. . .and they like to play! Tomorrow, its back on the road. We are headed down to the end of the peninsula for a two day stop at Homer. |
